ELECTION SECURITY – Recent Past and Looking Forward
OPEN TO ALL COLORADO League of Women Voter chapters and The Public
Do you wonder how Colorado kept our recent elections safe and secure and do you worry about the security of future elections? Join the League of Women Voters of Estes Park on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at noon to hear award winning guest speakers Secretary of State Jena Griswold and Larimer County Clerk and Recorder Angela Myers. Our speakers will explain how they ensure that our votes are secure and verifiable, and what plans they have to improve voter confidence in future elections.
Secretary of State Griswold has led one of the largest voting reform packages in the nation, by expanding access to voter registration, increasing polling locations and voter drop boxes across Colorado. She is the youngest elected Secretary of State in the United States and the tenth woman to be elected to statewide office in Colorado’s history.
Larimer County Clerk Myers has been working to deliver accurate and verifiable elections for nearly eight years including two primary and general presidential elections. During that time she has modernized county records so that they are accurate, accessible and aligned with the needs of voters.
This virtual event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. Mark your calendars beginning March 1st to get the link on our home page: www.lwv-estespark.org. Once registered, a link to the event will be emailed to you in a confirmation email.
